GYM UPKEEP
WEIGHTS
If you have 10lb or 15lb plates on a 45lb or 35lb barbell, do not drop your barbell from overhead. The barbell is heavier than the weights and the weight plates are snapping in half.
BATHROOMS
All of you get complimentary flushes with your membership in our state of the art, luxurious bathrooms. One, two…heck, GO FOR THREE! Don’t be shy. Flush that potty.
Please do not pee on the bathroom floor. Please do not leave a tsunami of water on the counter for the next person to drown in. Do not leave your used paper hand towels on the floor. Basically, do your best to leave zero evidence of your time visiting our beautiful bathrooms.
Do NOT flush the toilet with your foot. 1. You don’t want to be responsible for what happens when you brake the handle. 2. Sarah shouldn’t have to clean shoe prints off the wall.
(Also. Why am I cleaning hand prints off the wall above the toilet? Use your legs to hold yourself up. Don’t make me write a book about the trauma I endure cleaning up the bathroom on a daily basis.)
SHOES
Do not wear wet muddy, dry mudded or grassy shoes into the gym. We spend a lot of time with our hands and bodies on the floor. We do their best to ensure the floor is not disgusting, but there are only two of us and 150+ of you.
PLANTS
Please do not water the plants. Sarah tends to all our plant friends yet some of our plants are drowning in “love.” Imagine any percentage of 150+ members watering our plants without prior knowledge of the previous watering. The plants cannot handle any more water than what Sarah gives them. Our plants can not also handle anything other than water. Please do not pour coffee, energy drinks, protein drinks, or spit into the plants.
RINGS
Please do not wear metal rings if you are doing work on the pull-up bars. We are starting to notice scratches from rings on the rig. This exposes the iron underneath the rust resistant coating. Exposed iron will rust and degrade the quality of our equipment. Covering metal rings with thumb tape is an option also.
BLOOD
If for any reason you begin bleeding during a workout, please STOP what you’re doing and begin working on NOT bleeding. This is mostly with consideration of your hands. If your hands are bleeding, do not continue to place bleeding hands on equipment, leaving a crime scene around the room.
If blood does get on equipment use our disinfectant spray and let sit on the area for at least 90 second to allow thorough disinfecting. Use the wet wipes to wipe disinfectant and blood away. Please let a coach know if a fabric towel has been used for blood clean up so we can remove it from the rotation and replace it.
SWEAT
Please help us keep the floor and equipment clean of DNA. There will be sweat. A LOT of it. After your workout please be mindful of sweat on equipment and floor. Please clean up any sweat droplets off the floor and equipment after your workout to help us all stay healthy.
WIPES
NO WIPES ON SCREENS - Please do not wipe the screens of the cardio equipment with the wet wipes. Liquid gets into the electrical components and causes problems with the displays. If your screen has sweat or chalk on it, feel free to use the fabric cloth, sprayed lightly with our disinfectant spray to clean and sanitize.
NO WIPES ON BARBELLS - Please do not use wet wipes on barbells. The wet wipe liquid slowly collects where the sun don’t shine and breaks down the barbells ability to spin. Sarah cleans the barbells everyday with a brush and oil! If you leave chalk on the barbell, feel free to use the fabric cloth, sprayed lightly with our disinfectant spray to clean and sanitize, or leave the chalk for the next user. They might even appreciate it.
NO WIPES ON RIG - Please do not use the wipes on the rig. The wipes cause the bar to become slippery and erode the gripping texture of the bars.
