Sarah Knight

Owner | Coach | Personal Trainer

(CF-L2 / RYT-500 / CPR-AED)

I found CrossFit in 2015 and immediately connected with the methodology, the community and the competitive aspect of the sport.  CrossFit soon became the anchor of my life giving me awareness in every aspect of my health; nutrition, sleep, stress, cardio respiratory and strength endurance and conditioning, all of which have played a pivotal role not only in my fitness but in my ability to live a productive, healthy and active life.

2025 marks my eighth year in the fitness industry. My passion for coaching stems from my life long athletic background in volleyball, softball, basketball, track & field and yoga. Coaching allows me to be in service to others while doing what I feel passionate about.

My broad range of certifications include my credentials as a Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor which adds value to my CrossFit coaching as I encourage mindful and proper technique and mechanics.  I believe there is no finish line but an endless list of things to achieve and celebrate in CrossFit!

My favorite barbell movement is the Snatch and favorite workout is Annie.

Coach Matt Charette

(CF-L1 / CPR-AED)

I officially started CrossFit in 2017. At first, I was just looking for a way to get back in shape and needed someone to push me. But I quickly found myself hooked—not just by the physical challenge, but by the way CrossFit constantly teaches you new skills, pushes you beyond what you thought possible, and creates an environment where you’re surrounded by people all working toward their best selves. Plus, I’ll be honest: seeing how jacked the athletes were didn’t hurt either.

CrossFit has made a huge impact on my life. It’s become a key part of how I manage stress and stay balanced, especially with the pressures that come from a career in finance. But more than that, it’s the community and camaraderie that make it special. Watching people do things they never thought they could, whether it’s getting their first pull-up or finishing a workout they didn’t think they’d survive—that’s the magic.

I’ve been coaching for a year now and love helping athletes push past their limits and get comfortable being uncomfortable. My background in sports runs deep. I grew up playing everything I could, but really found my footing in high school, playing varsity soccer and wrestling, eventually competing at the collegiate level. After college, I trained in mixed martial arts before taking a break when life and work took over. Coming back to fitness through CrossFit reminded me how important it is to challenge yourself, both physically and mentally.

I hold a CrossFit Level 1 certification and am planning to continue growing as a coach with more certifications down the road. My coaching style focuses on pushing people outside their comfort zone while making sure they feel supported and capable every step of the way.

My favorite CrossFit moment? Watching Josh Bridges—former Navy SEAL and CrossFit Games athlete—win Murph at the Games. No surprise, my favorite workout is Murph. There’s something about that one that hits different every time.

Coach Khara Chunn

(CF-L1 / PN-L1 / CPR-AED, Gymnastics Certificate
Mobility Certificate)

I have been an athlete all my life and after my collegiate softball career at Indiana University was over I was searching for a way to keep my competitive juices flowing. In 2010, that’s when I found CrossFit and never looked back. I fell in love with the methodology and the community and I wanted everyone else around me to love it too so I started coaching in 2011. I have years of coaching experience in a group setting but also personal training and nutrition too. I enjoy working with others to help them accomplish their goals!

When I’m not at the gym, you’ll find me at either the soccer field or pool cheering on our daughters in their athletic endeavors. I’ve also recently started playing Pickleball, which I enjoy playing with my husband Brian.

My favorite movements are bar muscle ups and burpee box jump overs.

Coach John Thoren

(CF-L1 / AL-P / CPR-AED)

John found CrossFit on deployment in 2008 and its methodology - constant variance and challenging movements - had him hooked.  He has now been a CrossFit coach for over 8 years and holds a CrossFit Level 1 credential, ActiveLife RX Certification and has attended Cara Heads Slaughter Olympic Lifting seminars.

He has been an athlete his whole life and still loves to play and coach lacrosse and get out on the golf course when able.  He believes that every fitness journey is unique to the athlete and strives to focus on safe lifting practices - a hard workout done correctly today allows you to come back and improve tomorrow.

Should you program the workout "The Chief" he will be there!
