Sarah Knight

Owner | Coach | Personal Trainer

(CF-OL1 / RYT-200 / CPR-AED)

I found CrossFit in 2015 and immediately connected with the methodology, the community and the competitive aspect of the sport.  CrossFit soon became the anchor of my life giving me awareness in every aspect of my health; nutrition, sleep, stress, cardio respiratory and strength endurance and conditioning, all of which have played a pivotal role not only in my fitness but in my ability to live a productive, healthy and active life.

23’ marks my sixth year in coaching and instruction. My passion for coaching stems from my life long athletic background in volleyball, softball, basketball, track & field and yoga. Coaching allows me to be in service to others while doing what I feel passionate about.

My broad range of certifications include my certification as a Baptiste Power Yoga Instructor which adds value to my CrossFit coaching as I encourage mindful and proper technique and mechanics.  I believe there is no finish line but an endless list of things to achieve and celebrate in CrossFit!

My favorite barbell movement is the Snatch and favorite workout is Annie.

Coach Joe DeTullio

(CF-L2 / ACSM-CPT / CPR-AED)

While physically active throughout his life, Joe developed a love for fitness in his late 30's with Olympic & Power lifting and high intensity workouts. This made his shift into CrossFit in 2016 easy!

Joe's passionate about helping clients learn new skills and challenging their physical capabilities safely. CrossFit's focus on functional fitness and wellness provides Joe with the tools to address individual goals and needs. CrossFit's group training structure adds the dynamics of friendly competition and community which further fuels Joe's passion for coaching.

Joe lives in the Carolina Park community with his wife, Beth, and their dog, Murph.  Outside of the gym, he works as a technology consultant. He has multiple college and post-graduate degrees as well of over 40 undergraduate credits in Exercise Science.

Joe's favorite barbell lifts are old school Dead Lifts and Back Squats!

Coach John Thoren

(CF-L1 / AL-P / CPR-AED)

John found CrossFit on deployment in 2008 and its methodology - constant variance and challenging movements - had him hooked.  He has now been a CrossFit coach for over 8 years and holds a CrossFit Level 1 credential, ActiveLife RX Certification and has attended Cara Heads Slaughter Olympic Lifting seminars.

He has been an athlete his whole life and still loves to play and coach lacrosse and get out on the golf course when able.  He believes that every fitness journey is unique to the athlete and strives to focus on safe lifting practices - a hard workout done correctly today allows you to come back and improve tomorrow.

Should you program the workout "The Chief" he will be there!

Coach Khara Chunn

(CF-L1 / PN-L1 / CPR-AED, Gymnastics Certificate
Mobility Certificate)

I have been an athlete all my life and after my collegiate softball career at Indiana University was over I was searching for a way to keep my competitive juices flowing. In 2010, that’s when I found CrossFit and never looked back. I fell in love with the methodology and the community and I wanted everyone else around me to love it too so I started coaching in 2011. I have years of coaching experience in a group setting but also personal training and nutrition too. I enjoy working with others to help them accomplish their goals!

When I’m not at the gym, you’ll find me at either the soccer field or pool cheering on our daughters in their athletic endeavors. I’ve also recently started playing Pickleball, which I enjoy playing with my husband Brian.

My favorite movements are bar muscle ups and burpee box jump overs.
